It's just so hard to maintain a steady relationship with the reading habit when you don't have a decent library around

Well, I went a lil bit too long with the title... never mind that.

I found out reading is actually not an inexpensive hobby (if you want to keep your reading material fresh, that is). No kidding, while there are so many things worth reading, I doubt that there is anyone who will buy every single books for his reading pleasure. Don't believe me?

Let's see what I am reading recently...
Sandra Brown's The Crush + Hello,darkness.  Costs RM 42.90
Harry Potter series #5   costs Rm 89.90
Harry Potter series #4       RM 36.90
Harry Potter series #2  priced at RM 12 (this one I bought from a second-hand bookstore)
Cecelia Adhern's PS, I love you  RM 35.90
My sister's keeper by Jodi Picoult   at RM 35.90
Okay, there are six books in total, cost about RM 250.50 altogether. I don't even start on the whole Twilight Saga installment, which cost nearly RM 200 ,if you bought it cheap.

There is magazines too, a single copy of Readers' Digest is RM 15 per copy at cover price, if you read it every month, it will costs you about RM 180  a year. (though it's cheaper if you subscribe) Next, there are other magazines, ie: Just English, Asian Geographic.... Just putting stuff I usually read.

Seriously, bookstore manager don't like it when we just read his books and not buying... And most bookstore keep their books in plastic wraps. Now, if you don't get to read before you buy, how can you be certain you will like the book? You can't buy a book at RM 54,only to discover you don't like the book at all, and went back to demand a refund, right? Most likely, you would waste your money on a book you don't like.

All in all, it's hard to keep your hands on new books, unless you are wealthy or has a decent library at your vicinity. Usually, I will just borrow books from libraries, and then there is the problem with deadlines... Now thinking about it, I hadn't realize how heavily I depend on the libraries.

Hitz.FM! Dance Dance Dance

Being a Tokio Hotel, Taylor Swift and Paramore's music follower, I stick to Hitz. FM as my main source to discover new music. Of course I tuned to other radio stations now and then too. Currently, my new discoveries are closer to the edge by 30 seconds to Mars and falling stars by David Archuleta. Hitz.FM always play my favorites, take last Friday for example, I have heard hurricanes and suns twice. So, even Hitz has its own shortcomings (too much commercial etc-right now they are playing a Justin Bieber commercial) , I remain as an avid listener.

And today, I was listening to Hitz with my two sisters in the bedroom. To my surprise, I heard hurricanes and suns again at 2.15 p.m.. I turned the volume up immediately and danced across the room. My youngest sister laughed at me while the other just looked heaven-ward.Then, I was reading at he newspaper, thinking Hitz couldn't possibly be better when I heard Taylor's The story of us. They never did that! This time, My sister joined me nad we danced across the room.

Oh, how I love Hitz and Natalie!

Now, if you could excuse me, I am going to rest. I am simply exhausted after burnt off all my adrenaline stock.

Oops, Natalie airs hurricanes and suns again. This time with the voice clip!
Dance Dance Dance...

The farmer and the carrot Version 2.0

Do you still remember all the folk tales and fables that you heard or read when you were still little? Well, I came up with this new version of 'The farmer and the carrot'. If you are interested in my version of folk tales, please continue to read!

Okay, so my version starts off the same as the old version.
The farmer, his family and their neighbours worked together to harvest this enormous carrot (which is the main character in our story) from the ground. When they succeeded, they were exhausted so they went to sleep.

the largest carrot in the world

The carrot, afraid of its fate of becoming the dinner, managed to sneak away. (Don't ask WHY carrots have feelings and can walk around. Keep in mind that this is a fables) Off she go to a new city. Let's call this city X. The carrot was fascinated by fashion so she went to see X Spring/Summer Collection 2011 fashion show. She saw a lot of skinny models walking on the stage and realized that she was obese (she was an enormous carrot alright).

She was so miserable that she went on a diet. After she ate, she throws up for fear of growing fat. She became bulimic but her appearance didn't change much.Desperate, she ate less and less and eventually cuts off all food intake...

Suffered from anorexia, she was slim finally.

bulimic +aneroxic carrot. So thin.

She walked out from her hideaway to flaunt her new body imej. While walking, she tried to mimic the models' cat walk. But she was weak and had to rest after just taken a few steps. Unfortunate for her,  a cow was passing by. The cow tries to eat the carrot. Miss Carrot wanted to run away but she was so weak that she couldn't move. The cow ate her. This is the end of the world's most famous and largest carrot in history.

The moral of the story is we should eat moderately. Don't be the next Miss carrot!
