Winter is here

After my constant complaint about how the weather here are NOT COLD ENOUGH, too warm etc.., winter has finally arrived.

I am still feeling comfortable enough to stroll down the streets donning only a pair of shorts and a simple shirt, but my friends already donned  thick and comfy looking (winter) jackets a month ago. Stubborn as I am, I refused to dress so ridiculously, insisting that my shirt is warm enough so there's no need for those thick and unsightly jackets. I walked around convincing my friends that 'it is not even cold yet, it is just cool, and nice temperature', wanting to switch on the fan in the dorm because 'it's stuffy here', and only wear a thin jacket if necessary. So my friends think that I am weird.

Often I walk around, taking in the scenery and sometimes waking up late in the morning.
But I am not immune to the cold after all. It's December now and I wake up shivering from my head to toes almost every morning (but feeling totally fine after that). And at night I think my blankets are not warm enough but I refused to buy a new one because I am afraid to waste money =.=.

Anyway, I will see. I am totally loving the cool weather (until it becomes freezing cold that is). But some says, this is just the beginning.

Built new playlists for listening purpose. One of them is titled 'mushy' and I dumped some of Selena's and Bieber's songs in here (who knows I will do this LOL) My sister totally threw a hissy fit when she saw some of Katy's song in the playlist though... *evil grin* Taylor's songs are categorized as 'dopey' but I hope she won't ever know this.

That's enough for now. Bye.

Updates

Okay, the thing that constantly bugging me is that almost every website I visited likes to show their options, tools and everything in Chinese because of the country I am in now. Seriously, if my little netbook weren't brought in Malaysia I would never doubt that I can ever see English website anymore (okay I am being a tad dramatic right now, but you get the gist).
Example no. 1: Went to the school computer, clicked Google, but it wasn't the Google I used to, it was "谷哥“or something instead. Whatever. But the result that come first are in Chinese too... * scratches head in confusion.* Gotta admit I don't know how to change the setting. GAH! Frustration! Even Blogger and Youtube  show their toolbar in Chinese, I just miss seeing English alll over the place...

**********************************
My little rants are officially over now.
Language switch aside, this is a pretty cool place. Nice scenery, nice air to breathe in.. These trees along the path I walk to class everyday even changes their leaves. I am not kidding, and the scenery are beautiful too :-)
When I saw the trees for the fist time, they  are green, slowly, some yellow (and beautiful looking) flowers were seen on the trees, then the flowers fall, and it was the pinkish flowers' turn. Now, it's getting colder and the leaves are falling too. Branches look bare right now. I am so sorry that I don't have a decent camera, if I have one surely I can capture the view =)

And someone have the same music taste as me too (yes! where are the confetti?)
He know the band I take a liking to *insert wide silly smile here*.
The catch is... he mistook another person to have a liking in the band.. (What the f*** =.=\\\ excuse me while I am trying to curse after who knows how many months)
Anyway, I still feel happy for it :)

Books as my treat:
Decent English books are hard to find. Sigh. But the books I am borrowing now are *drumrolls please*
The Book Thief
Odd girls out
and some Chinese books that I am supposed to read for my reading club... Am trying to find a time to read  all of them in my limited time. Yet I am still blogging now. Start to do your homework already lah!
Bye, I am signing off now.
Auf Widersehen.

Edit:
Ps: Thanks to my friend I found nice songs by One Direction! And Jason Reeves' Someone somewhere is great too!! Oh, guess my taste are leaning towards country now...Nein!

Hey guys, it has been a while.

I had never abandon my passion for writing, and reading for that extent.  Everyday I sneak into some people's blog, dig in the old archives, read it and just sneak away quietly. It is not until today when I clicked in my own blog and BAM!!, realized how empty it seems. Okay, so let me update my current situation now. Random  scribbling ends here.

I sat through my driving tests several months ago. Actually, I sat for the test thrice, and only passed it fully during the third time. During the first time I sat for the test, I failed in both criteria. Bad huh? So during the second test, I passed parking and was doing quite well until when I nearly (really nearly, like only missed it within a hair breath) reach the end point, I parked too near to a white line. The tires of my car are still behind the line but the tester said the hood of my car had went over the line so... he FAILED me and asked me to let HIM drive the car back. Sad isn't it? I swear I would have cried then and there (as a matter of fact, I think I did cried, but only a little, but how do you pin point a little for tears flow? I don't know but I think I hid it pretty well. Anyway, back to the story).

During my third driving test, I had basically crossed all  the required field for a person to pass the test. What I mentioned there includes changing my driving and driving instructor (sorry teacher, but I really don't like the agent so I had to change a new one, hope you won't mind it.) And then I taken like 6 more hours of additional lessons and I would have took 8 if my instructors have the time.

After every i dotted and every t crossed, the big day came. I squared my shoulder and embraced my test bravely. Voila! Finally, I passed the test flawlessly. Phew, a worry down.

My sister would be so proud of me if she sees me right now. I am really diggin' every single song from Taylor Swift and listen to it like

every.single.day.

because I miss her (she refers to my sister, I mean, who else?)so much, I think a quote I saw from Twitter is so right, it goes like this:

Heartbroken? In love? Depressed? Break up? Happy? Excited? There's a Taylor Swift song for that !
Short but true. Okay, I confess that I dug that from my sister's Twitter account.
Now there's 30 something Taylor's songs on shuffle in my little netbook.

I would like to continue writing but I really have to go and study this Biology book weight 3kg, literally.

PS: I am liking this mouse I bought recently. No, not the real mouse, the mouse you use for computer to navigate the page.
PPS: Did I mentioned how I HATE weight limit before? What? I didn't? Well, perhaps I would elaborate on the topic later.

Tomorrow is going to be my birthday *insert an appropriate emotion here*

Okay, I really want to update my blog but I keep on forgetting my password, hence changing the password every time. Now, I am left with zero recent update and one blog draft... But I can't procrastinate this anymore... simply because tomorrow I will turn FREAKIN 18!!!111

I am THAT kind of delusional person who doesn't count  an addition of a year into her age unless her birthday passed. So, in that way, today I am still 17 (hehe) but tomorrow I will be 18(oh no).

What good does it do when you live 18 years but done NOTHING?
If I had to write a resume right now there would be nothing really good on it. :// You know, except the dates I went to school and all that.

EEEEiiiii, Lets hope I can achieve something when I am 18.

Schizophrenia

I learned a new word today. The word is the title of my post.

This is what I copied from Wikipedia:
A person diagnosed with schizophrenia may experience hallucinations (most reported are hearing voices), delusions (often bizarre orpersecutory in nature), and disorganized thinking and speech. The latter may range from loss of train of thought, to sentences only loosely connected in meaning, to incoherence known as word salad in severe cases. Social withdrawal, sloppiness of dress and hygiene, and loss of motivation and judgement are all common in schizophrenia.[6] There is often an observable pattern of emotional difficulty, for example lack of responsiveness.[7] Impairment in social cognition is associated with schizophrenia,[8] as are symptoms of paranoiasocial isolationcommonly occurs.[9] In one uncommon subtype, the person may be largely mute, remain motionless in bizarre postures, or exhibit purposeless agitation, all signs of catatonia.[10]

Oh my gosh, IF I am more paranoid than I was now,  I would think that I had schizophrenia, from my symptom of word incoherence and influent thought process. Why did this symptoms arise though?  (See. my thought began to scatter already)

Read my blog to follow up with my word incoherence. Hiak hiak.

PS: It's really nice to write a quick blog while listening to radio. Comfy.
And in the mean time, check out her this blog post, I like her descriptions of hurricanes and casualties. Link is here.

Wrong thought (too long for Twitter)

I thought, I can stay in contact with friends via internet. I mean, internet is so powerful, now that we have Twitter,Blogger, E-mail AND almost everyone have Facebook. It can't be that hard right?

People used to contact their relatives using SNAIL MAIL with limited word counts (plus limited news- I might add- they actually weren't free to write anything, and do you wish to worry your relatives by writing some bad news?). I had nothing against snail mail, in fact I think it is romantic and quite memorable possession to keep. Just, it's slow. Would you wait for a letter for TWO OR THREE FREAKING WEEKS? (sorry for my inappropriate language here). The waiting alone could kill you plus the mail can easily get lost or, stolen by others.
Yet some people managed to stay in touch and they ...
live happily forever after the war end
may not see each other again because one party died during the war
met each other after the war and they are very happy.

So I thought it would be easy to keep in touch with friends, in 21 century where internet usage is all the rage.
But the answer is no.

Even though everyone have Facebook, they are not necessarily updating it.
Or, your Facebook 'friends' that are frequently updating their status? Guess what? You don't even know them. Why they are in your friend list is a huge mystery.

So the prerequisite of a strong friendship still boils down to frequent messages and taking the effort to know each other.

You will never keep in touch with your friends by merely viewing their profiles and updates.

Diana Wynne Jones

I get the shock of my life when I comb through The Star's Star 2.
Diana Wynne Jones is DEAD. (16 August 1934 – 26 March 2011)

I am not her avid reader, so out of her many books, I had just read two,of which one was just skim through the pages. But the another book that I had read was fabulous. I like it very much, though it was about fantasy... Courage, Kindness, Bravery, Love and stuff...

By reading that book, I know she is a fantastic writer.
I am sorry that I had not read much of her books, and the only thing I can do for her is writing about her in my blog.

You may be gone but your books will remain with us forever.

This is her book that I like the most.
this is a sequence to the book.

And many more, I couldn't list them all. Here is her wiki page.

It's just so hard to maintain a steady relationship with the reading habit when you don't have a decent library around

Well, I went a lil bit too long with the title... never mind that.

I found out reading is actually not an inexpensive hobby (if you want to keep your reading material fresh, that is). No kidding, while there are so many things worth reading, I doubt that there is anyone who will buy every single books for his reading pleasure. Don't believe me?

Let's see what I am reading recently...
Sandra Brown's The Crush + Hello,darkness.  Costs RM 42.90
Harry Potter series #5   costs Rm 89.90
Harry Potter series #4       RM 36.90
Harry Potter series #2  priced at RM 12 (this one I bought from a second-hand bookstore)
Cecelia Adhern's PS, I love you  RM 35.90
My sister's keeper by Jodi Picoult   at RM 35.90
Okay, there are six books in total, cost about RM 250.50 altogether. I don't even start on the whole Twilight Saga installment, which cost nearly RM 200 ,if you bought it cheap.

There is magazines too, a single copy of Readers' Digest is RM 15 per copy at cover price, if you read it every month, it will costs you about RM 180  a year. (though it's cheaper if you subscribe) Next, there are other magazines, ie: Just English, Asian Geographic.... Just putting stuff I usually read.

Seriously, bookstore manager don't like it when we just read his books and not buying... And most bookstore keep their books in plastic wraps. Now, if you don't get to read before you buy, how can you be certain you will like the book? You can't buy a book at RM 54,only to discover you don't like the book at all, and went back to demand a refund, right? Most likely, you would waste your money on a book you don't like.

All in all, it's hard to keep your hands on new books, unless you are wealthy or has a decent library at your vicinity. Usually, I will just borrow books from libraries, and then there is the problem with deadlines... Now thinking about it, I hadn't realize how heavily I depend on the libraries.

Hitz.FM! Dance Dance Dance

Being a Tokio Hotel, Taylor Swift and Paramore's music follower, I stick to Hitz. FM as my main source to discover new music. Of course I tuned to other radio stations now and then too. Currently, my new discoveries are closer to the edge by 30 seconds to Mars and falling stars by David Archuleta. Hitz.FM always play my favorites, take last Friday for example, I have heard hurricanes and suns twice. So, even Hitz has its own shortcomings (too much commercial etc-right now they are playing a Justin Bieber commercial) , I remain as an avid listener.

And today, I was listening to Hitz with my two sisters in the bedroom. To my surprise, I heard hurricanes and suns again at 2.15 p.m.. I turned the volume up immediately and danced across the room. My youngest sister laughed at me while the other just looked heaven-ward.Then, I was reading at he newspaper, thinking Hitz couldn't possibly be better when I heard Taylor's The story of us. They never did that! This time, My sister joined me nad we danced across the room.

Oh, how I love Hitz and Natalie!

Now, if you could excuse me, I am going to rest. I am simply exhausted after burnt off all my adrenaline stock.

Oops, Natalie airs hurricanes and suns again. This time with the voice clip!
Dance Dance Dance...
