The farmer and the carrot Version 2.0

Do you still remember all the folk tales and fables that you heard or read when you were still little? Well, I came up with this new version of 'The farmer and the carrot'. If you are interested in my version of folk tales, please continue to read!

Okay, so my version starts off the same as the old version.
The farmer, his family and their neighbours worked together to harvest this enormous carrot (which is the main character in our story) from the ground. When they succeeded, they were exhausted so they went to sleep.

the largest carrot in the world

The carrot, afraid of its fate of becoming the dinner, managed to sneak away. (Don't ask WHY carrots have feelings and can walk around. Keep in mind that this is a fables) Off she go to a new city. Let's call this city X. The carrot was fascinated by fashion so she went to see X Spring/Summer Collection 2011 fashion show. She saw a lot of skinny models walking on the stage and realized that she was obese (she was an enormous carrot alright).

She was so miserable that she went on a diet. After she ate, she throws up for fear of growing fat. She became bulimic but her appearance didn't change much.Desperate, she ate less and less and eventually cuts off all food intake...

Suffered from anorexia, she was slim finally.

bulimic +aneroxic carrot. So thin.

She walked out from her hideaway to flaunt her new body imej. While walking, she tried to mimic the models' cat walk. But she was weak and had to rest after just taken a few steps. Unfortunate for her,  a cow was passing by. The cow tries to eat the carrot. Miss Carrot wanted to run away but she was so weak that she couldn't move. The cow ate her. This is the end of the world's most famous and largest carrot in history.

The moral of the story is we should eat moderately. Don't be the next Miss carrot!

Taylor Swift, Eminem , Grammy Award and more!

I simply LOVE The Star. It just published this article on Sunday, 13/2/11.

Oh, Taylor Swift in Singapore. Isn't it amazing? I would happily kept this news paper in my collection, but guess what? My sister beat me to it! Anyway, I let her keep this because... I had kept others. Right now, my collection of The Star newspaper consist of two Paramore interviews and three Tokio Hotel related stuff.

The Star is my favorite English newspaper because it is more organized, and hugely informative. The Wednesday special is simply awesome.

At the same time, it didn't forget to publish a review of Grammy Award.

They speculated Eminem would win big in this year Grammy. Unfortunately, Grammy fail Eminem again. The award of  'Album of the year' goes to "The Suburbs,"  by Arcade Fire. Muse get the Best Rock Album though. Tokio Hotel didn't even get nominated but I hope it would happen soon, when they publish their new album.

The entire winner list of Grammy can be found here .

Too bad Bieber didn't win. Erm, I mean, he would have to work harder first.

Language barrier and suicide talk

Went to the KPP talk today after I had passed my Traffic rules test. I must say that I went to this talk very late, as most of my friend went to this talk two months ago. That's why when I went to the place I can't find anyone I recognized at first. After I arrived , I waited for my agent to get further information.

I noticed that she has a girl by her side when she came. The girl too, is one of her customers that is going to the talk with me. She is especially noticeable in the crowd because she is way shorter than the other people. Having labelled as 'vertically-challenged' person in my whole life, I felt sympathy towards her because I could totally relate to her. Anyway, I seized a chance to know her better and she told me her name is S (name is changed to protect privacy). She too, is learning to drive a car only  she apply for a different driving license for the disabled. However, she is very independent and sociable. She can speak fluent English, Mandarin, Malay and Hokkaido. I confessed to her that I can't even speak one dialect. She advised me to learn because I might face difficulties with others when I got o work.

When the talk is over, I am supposed to meet my driving instructor to know the date that I am going to have my three hours practical talk. I met the instructor (who is a Chinese), then found out I could grasp what he is talking about. He is talking in Cantonese (at least I think so). So, I asked him to speak in Mandarin after explained to him that I can't understand ANY dialect.I have a feeling that I was confessing a committed crime by stating so. I swear that he looked very surprised when he heard the news. He seemed like a kind person though.  I hope that the lesson would be enjoyable even with the language barrier.

At the end of the day, I was determine to polish my language and communication skill.
Still, I am lazy to learn dialect.
Hope I won't regret that.

Who say Chocolate (aka me) don't know how to enjoy herself ?

This afternoon is extremely hot with rays of sunbeam penetrating through the thin lace curtain.
You can feel the power of the mighty sun which cast orange light on the floor.
With the sun behaving like this, room temperature in this very room that  she is in at least rise about 1 degree Celsius.

Yet, Chocolate, who is the biggest hater of hot and humid temperature didn't seemed to mind about the sun, or anything else. Her eyes, are glued on the computer screen.
Songs from Tokio Hotel can be heard playing softly in the background while Chocolate has her hands on the key board, typing sentences at a website named ...blog. Then, Taylor Swift's voice came out from the speaker while she typed this sentence.
This is, a regular afternoon for Chocolate.

*** *** ***
At least, I think this is what people would perceive when they saw me now. I am writing from another person point of view simply because I am too boring.

Why calling her chocolate? Because she yearn for some right now.

Sadness is contagious

I was happily white-washing my bedroom while listening to the radio. Then I heard 'back to December' and felt sad again. We should have a rule about not airing sad songs all the time especially when someone try to cheer up right? Taylor came up with this song that contain so much sadness that I wonder how she live with it. Sadness I mean.

Someone please save me from myself

Perhaps due to prolong lack of schooling and doing anything remotely interesting, I'd been reading a lot of books and listen to tons of songs. I am not kidding when I say 'lots of reading', now my reading material includes :The Star, Sin Chew, novels ( most recent Jane Eyre), Just English, Asian Geographic, Readers' Digest ...

Still, that amount of books and magazines do no good for my constantly-feel-bored-soul. I had a guess that when reading those books no longer take a back seat, say, from your text books and homeworks, the fun slips away too.

To nourish my soul, I listen to songs. All kind. (EDIT: except some, because I still despise the singers. You would thought that a person like me , who is going to be 18, would learn to appreciate things better than filter them by the singer/artist/writer/producer, but not for me anyway)

Lack of better things to do, I took some quiz on Facebook. Everyone knows that the quiz are just for fun, to consume your time. So I did the quiz. From the results, I deduce that I am very depress and lonely person. Heck, maybe I am bitter too.

My results say:

Yu got Forever & Always.
You feel betrayed. Either by a friend, family member, or loved one. You feel that they wronged you and told you lies.
Okay everyone deals with lies don't they? No big deal. I feel betrayed? That's a news.

Yu got Phantom rider.
You are a person who lost somebody. You still want to say goodbye, but that will not work. you are verry depressed because. You want to disappear from this miserable world back to the one that means so much to you.
One fact: this quiz result contain mistakes,'you are very depressed because' then what? Must I be the one who complete the sentence?

How Obscure is Your Taste in Music?
"Shoegaze" is the best way to describe your taste in music. You love anything that sounds dreamy and distant, with subdued, often androgynous-sounding vocals. You're not into mosh pits or dancing at concerts; rather, you just like to sit back and take in the distorted, ethereal sounds of the music around you. You probably hardly know any of the lyrics to any of your favorite songs, because it's the melody and sound that really matter the most.
Fact: I listen to lyrics too. And are likely to sream in concerts. I haven't tell this theory yet because I haven't go to my first concert. *sad*

SEE, I am very depressed because I don't know what I am depressing over. I don't even know HOW I am going to sound sarcastic as I had intended at the beginning of this post. Help!!! I am going to _____ (you fill in the blank)
Bye. *goes to sulk some more*
muahaha (unsure this is a real laugh or not) (I am sick)(self-loathing)

My first post in 2011

They said you must write something happy in a new year right? I can't think of anything to write right now as I was busy running around in internet at.... site, google. Okay I am not gonna tell which site I am on because it is personal to me.

Here's my happy little post:

XXXXXXX

dang.
I'll write when I can think of one. Sometimes it's just too hard to write something.

xxxxxxxxxxx

edit:
I finally found it.
At 110111, approximately 3.55 p.m., I heard Hitz.FM airing 'Hurricanes and suns'. Gosh, I went all high and I swear my heart swell up twice its size. Then I turned the volume up!
I thought things couldn't be better, but it did. Hitz aired 'back to december next!
Thank you, Hitz.fm for making my entire day so wonderful.

Still, I am holding a grudge against you for NOT playing 'h&s' for so long (at least when I tune in)

The Cameron's incident

No, I am not talking about Cameran Diaz. I am talking about my recent encounter when I went to Cameran Highland with my family.

My father decided to take us to Cameran for a walk (and buy some jams) on our way home from Malacca.
We went to the night market (at 8 p.m.) to browse for strawberries jam ( my father), mouth watering food (my mother) and generally, everything that is interesting (me and my sister).

Guess what I saw?
Two European guys. (okay this is a common sight)
Standing in front of a stall.
Eating...
CHAR KUEY TIAO

I couldn't believe my eyes...
Of all the yummy food, they choose kuey tiao which was sold RM 6 a plate (really expensive) and NOT DELICIOUS at all?
Hmm, maybe they don't develop a taste for Malaysian food yet. They looked like they enjoyed eating that kuey tiao very much.
(I can tell from the appearance of those kuey tiao that it was not yummy, it looks kinda wet and cold...)

Now back from the trip, I am spending my time by:

enough said. I am getting lazier.

Away from home

Came back to Taiping the day before yesterday. It was such a tiring journey. Plus it was boring because I didn't get the chance to listen to any radio station or songs at all. While I was away, I promised myself to write a blog about my trip (I always do this) but I don't know whether I still want to do this or not. Right now I am busy...

Life's a tough crowd

I'm not kidding. Life is a big circle of endless learning. You started to learn when you were born, till the very last day of your life.
But no, I am not going to talk about philosophy now. Yet.

I am talking about a 5-6 hours journey in your father's car to your hometown, which doesn't feel like one anymore because there is almost no one to look forward, except your mother's side relatives and a few of your father's side relatives. Plus there is some malevolent aunties and uncles who like to question some really awkward situations like which position you are in the last exam bla bla bla. Like every time we met is the time for them to show off how excellent their children are. Now I got to attend one of my cousins' wedding. I am totally not close with this cousin of mine, the last time we met is like, three years ago when my uncle passed away.

I am sorry I bad-mouthed about them but I can't stand the thought of seeing them AGAIN. It is such a tremendous stress...

ugh ugh ugh
